With Motoland being Napier’s only motorcycle shop, servicing all makes and models of motorcycles has become part of business as usual. However up until now, customers with late model bikes, with modern electronics would have had to take their machines to dealerships specialising in those models so that the manufacturers’ diagnostic tools could be attached to carry out routine service work.
Not anymore. Motoland has recently invested in the latest Texa diagnostic tool for Motorycles allowing service work to be carried out on the latest models from Aprilia, BMW, Triumph, Ducati and Harley Davidson just to name a few. Texa’s support for virtually every motorcycle on the market is phenomenal with the software constantly being updated as manufacturers release new models with updated ECUs and wiring configurations.
Jordan, one of Motoland’s Senior mechanics, fully trained in Ducati and Triumph says, “This is a game changer for Motoland because it not only means customers can get work carried out locally but we are also able to provide quick diagnosis of faults, ultimately saving the customer money. Also intermittent faults can be diagnosed as bikes can be ridden with the tool attached and log real-time data, just like an aeroplane’s black box recorder.”
